Maserati is an Italian car manufacturer based in Modena, Italy. Often associated with Ferrari, Maserati is a specialized sports car manufacturer and only produces fashionable, high-end vehicles. Founder Alfieri Maserati and his brothers started the company by opening a car engineering workshop called Officine Alfieri Maserati. Then 12 years later in 1926, the workshop was converted into a dealership that designed, built and sold its own cars. After much success, in 1999, FIAT (who were the owners at the time) sold the company to Ferrari. Currently, as of 2021, Maserati is owned by Stellantis.
